A 18 year boy has died at the Rock Ness festival in Inverness, Scotland.
Police have confirmed that the teenager was treated by Red Cross staff at the festival venue but later died after being transferred to hospital.
Supt David O'Connor, of Northern Constabulary, told BBC Scotland: "The youth was removed unconscious by first aiders from the front of the main stage at about 1430 BST on Saturday.
"He was treated at the A&E field hospital here by a consultant and taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where sadly he died.
"Any death in any set of circumstances is tragic and we have been extremely saddened by it. Our condolences must go out to the family of the youth involved."
Police have refused to confirm the cause of death until the boy’s next of kin have been informed.
Last year a 39 year old man from Dundee died at the event after being found unconscious in his car.
