Welsh singer Duffy has revealed that she thought she had discovered a new band when she heard the Rolling Stones for the first time.
The pop star’s introduction to the group came when she watched her dad’s video tape of ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’.
However, she admits that she didn’t realise the tape was an old recording.
“Of course, no one told me, as a six-year-old, that they weren’t current,” she said.
“I thought I’d found the most important thing in music – some obscure band nobody knew.”
Duffy played her biggest London show to date last night at Shepherd’s Bish Empire.
