Wu-Tang Clan, one of the most formidable collectives in hip-hop history, are turning their attention to chess.
Wu-Chess, the world’s first online chess and urban social network, allows fans to interact with people across the world over a game of chess.
The platform has been created by Wu-Tang’s founder member RZA and for an annual fee of $48 is available to anyone.
The website will donate money from users’ subscription fees to the Hip-Hop Chess Foundation, an organisation that uses "chess, music and martial arts to promote unity, strategy and non-violence".
What do you think about hip-hop’s move into the world of chess? Is it checkmate or a good idea? Let us know by posting a comment below...
