The singer of Make Model, Lewis, has left the band with immediate effect, according to a statement from the groups remaining members.
In a joint statement, the band said that the singer’s decision had a come as “a huge shock” but did not mean the end for the group.
“We'll emerge when the time is right and Make Model can begin a new chapter,” they said.
“We feel strongly that it is time to become more of a collective, to stand as equals and move forward with confidence.”
The group have cancelled all their live commitments in order to “regroup”.
The band had been due to release their debut album later this year. The fate of the record is not yet known.
