Creators of Guitar Hero are to release a special edition of the game in honour of Metallica, according to reports.
It’s understood that Guitar Hero: Metallica will be released in the spring of 2009.
Although details about the game aren’t clear, it’s likely to be similar to the recent edition that was released in tribute to Aerosmith.
Metallica are currently recording their new studio album. The follow-up to 2002’s ‘St Anger’ is due out in September.
At a recent festival in California, Drummer Lars Ulrich revealed that the group would embark on a tour in support of the record in October.
