A remix of Gene Kelly’s ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ is expected to top the UK singles chart this week after it was used by the winner of Britain’s Got Talent.
George Sampson won the competition by performing a break-dance routine to the song.
The song’s remixers, Mint Royale, have written a personal message to Sampson on their Mysapce page, offering him their “huge congratulations”.
“A massive 14 million people watched his winning dance to our very own 'Singin' In The Rain', earning him a big pot of money and a slot at this years Royal Variety Performance,” they wrote.
Their remix of Kelly’s song was originally released in 2005, when it charted at number 20 thanks to extensive coverage in a television advert.
Rihanna currently holds the number one spot in the UK charts with ‘Take A Bow’.
