Mark Ronson and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich are in talks to record an album for The Mighty Boosh, according to one of the shows stars.
Noel Fielding said that Ronson had expressed a desire to record the album, while Godrich, who has also worked with Sir Paul McCartney, “might be up for it too”.
Fielding, who stars in the show alongside Julian Barratt, did joke, however, that they might “just give it to a child” to produce.
In an interview with XFM, Fielding said that their debut album would be released after the duo had toured later in the year.
“We want the music to stand up for itself but keep the comedy elements,” he said.
Mighty Boosh are curating a festival at the Hop Farm in Kent this summer. You can purchase tickets for the event through Gigwise here.
As previously reported, The Kills, Gary Numan and The Charlatans are all scheduled to play at the event.
