Sir Paul McCartney Names Radiohead Among Favourite Bands
Sir Paul McCartney has named Radiohead and The Killers among his favourite modern day bands.
Speaking ahead of his concert in Liverpool this weekend, McCartney said Radiohead were “really cool”.
“I think they’re on it – innovative,” he told the BBC.
The former Beatle also singled out Liverpool bands The Wombats and The Zutons – who are scheduled to join him for the concert at Anfield on Sunday (June 1st).
When asked if there was anyone that he still held as an inspiration, McCartney replied Bob Dylan.
“He’s a great poet, cool guy. I like what he does, he always does something a bit different. He’s him – he’s Dylan, isn’t he?” McCartney said.
Tickets for the former Beatles concert are still available through Gigwise by clicking here.
