David Cook, the winner of this years American Idol, will break American chart records tomorrow (May 29th) when eleven of his songs debut on the Billboard Hot-100.
The former bar tender’s record will be led by ‘The Time Of My Life’, an original composition, which will enter at number three after receiving 236,000 downloads in its first week.
In addition to the Hot-100 chart, fourteen of his tracks will appear on the Hot Digital Tracks countdown.
Cook beat fellow finalist David Archuleta to win the latest series of American Idol earlier this month.
Despite coming runner up in the competition, three songs by Archuleta, including his cover of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, will debut on both charts.
Cook, who wasn’t expected to win the competition, scores the most placements on the Hot 100 since fourteen songs by the Beatles appeared on the chart in April 1964.
