Sigur Ros have used an image by New York-based visual artist Ryan McGinley for the controversial cover to their new album, ‘With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly’.
The image, which shows naked young people running across a highway, is from McGinley’s ‘I Know Where The Summer Goes’ collection, in which he got models and artists to accompany him on a road trip across the
McGinley first photographed the band six years ago. The picture is said to reflect the new album’s spirit, which the band say contains some of their most ‘joyous’ music to date.
