Liars have praised Radiohead’s environmental approach to touring in a personal message on their Myspace page.
Following their recent run of support shows with the band, Liars said that it was “important” for them to highlight how “inspiring” Radiohead’s efforts were.
The band writes that at the start of the tour they were given water flasks instead of disposable cups.
They also noted how “every bus and truck runs on bio-fuel” and that the band “don’t use air-freight”.
“Everything is supremely managed to reduce the 'footprint' and it's inspiring in that its 'real' and should set the standard for other big productions,” they added.
Radiohead have implemented a number of environmental guidelines for their forthcoming tour in the UK tour, including an online calculator which allows fans to find the most eco-friendly method of travelling to their dates.
Liars also used their message to prise Radiohead’s on stage performance, which they described as “unlike any band we’ve seen”.
“Their extreme individual talents blending so naturally,” they said.
