Amy Winehouse 'To Undergo Rehab In Israel'

Amy Winehouse is to enter a rehab clinic in Israel to tackle her drug problems, according to the chairman of the country’s Anti-Drug Authority.

Eliezer Cohen said Winehouse will undergo a "very short, intensive and effective treatment" within the next few weeks at the Barzilai Medical Centre.

Mr Cohen said that Winehouse’s 36-hour treatment would cost just $12,800, reports the Sun.

"They spoke to a renowned Israeli institution and an Israeli professor who conducts a very special and effective method,” he said.

“She has requested to come to him to do this method, since it's a method that is suitable for her."

Mr Cohen was confident that his treatment would work for the singer, claiming that all of his patients “are discharged healthy and no longer dependent.”

Winehouse said that she was in good health yesterday (May 22nd) as she arrived late to the Ivor Novello Awards in London.

The singer, who was nominated for three prizes, won just one award for her song ‘Love Is A Losing Game’.
