Jarvis Cocker ran way from Little Man Tate earlier this week after he failed to recognise the band he once called “an absolute pile of shit”.
The incident happened on a street in London shortly before Little Man Tate's appearance at the Astoria on Wednesday (May 21st).
Speaking to Gigwise, someone who witnessed the meeting said that when they introduced themselves to Cocker “he gave them a double thumbs up and sort of ran away.”
Little Man Tate are scheduled to release their second album in August.
The record has been described as “the album the band always knew they could and would make, and without restraint” and “bold, brassy and buoyant.”
