The Kooks premiered a new song, believed to be called ‘Shelter’, during a secret show in Los Angeles last night (May 20th).
The band’s last minute performance at the Kibbitz Room club was witnessed by just 69 people.
Speaking about the new song, frontman Luke Pritchard said that he hasn’t finished all the lyrics yet.
"Maybe I’ll call it Shelter - but then you have all the connotations with the charity,” he said.
“But maybe that's not a bad thing. Maybe I’ll do a song for Shelter. That would be quite good actually."
Pritchard described the band’s show, which saw them perform without microphones, as “surreal”.
“It's crazy to come here and have that kind of like appreciation. Tonight was weird because we didn't have any mics - it was like a soap box thing," he told BBC 6Music.
