Courtney Love has responded to reports which claimed that her new album had been scrapped.
"No 'scrapping' is going on, simply a few retakes, especially since all those recordings were leaked to the Net," Love wrote on her Myspace.
Love is working on the album alongside Linda Perry and says she’s confident that it will be handed over to record bosses in July.
"Don't assume you know any songs on this album," she said. "Some may sound somewhat familiar or even have the same titles and arrangements.
“A few are just precious diamonds I wouldn't touch, but there's TONS of NEW ones which you haven't a clue about."
It had been claimed that Love had stopped working with Perry in favour of her Mico Larrikin, who is a member of her touring band.
