Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong has spoken for the first time about the bands new side-project, the Foxboro Hot Tubs.
In a message on the group’s website, Armstrong, writing under his Reverend Strychnine Twitch pseudonym, said initial live shows had gone better than expected.
“Pabst was flowin and everyone on some serious octane, baby! Now we jump in the jet to JW's hometown called Little Rock,” Armstrong wrote.
“But when the Tubbies hit the scene, it’s gonna be called ‘A Lotta Rock’. That's what I'm talkin 'bout.”
He said that people coming to see the band on their remaining dates should “get all dressed up, come get down, wave your freak flag with the Foxboro Hot Tubs! Sting!!!!”
The tour will continue tonight (May 20th) in New Orleans.
