Pete Doherty has spoken out about the controversial video of him and Amy Winehouse playing with one-day-old mice.
The video, entitled Winemouse, emerged on video sharing website YouTube on Friday (May 16th), less than two weeks after the Babyshambles singer was released from prison.
Speaking to reporters at a charity football tournament in East London this afternoon (May 18th), Doherty gave an honest account of the footage.
“One of the mice gave birth didn't it? I think it was Jennifer. She (Winehouse) was really fond of them,” he said.
Doherty said Winehouse "great at the moment" and that she was recording “loads of new stuff”.
“I kind of took a bit of a back seat. She said 'listen to this new song, listen to this new song, record this, record this'.
“I've got a truckload of some of her stuff and I'm going through it," he said.
Doherty is believed to be the person filming Winehouse in another YouTube video where she covers an Alicia Keys song with her goddaughter.
Doherty and Babyshambles were defending their title at the celebrity Soccer Six tournament at Millwall football club, reports the Press Association..
