Luke Pritchard: 'I Kicked Alex Turner In The Face'

The Kooks singer Luke Pritchard has claims to have kicked Alex Turner in the face after the Arctic Monkeys frontman pulled his guitar cord out during a gig.

In what looks set to become a feud to rival Blur and Oasis’ mid-90s clashes, Pritchard said the two bands had always endured a “weird relationship”.

“I had to kick Alex in the face because he was trying to pull the leads out of my guitar pedals while we were on stage,” he said.

"We had done so many shows back to back with them, and it just escalated."

Speaking to the Mirror, Pritchard said that he tried to repair the band’s relationship when the Kooks were filming the video for their new single ‘Do You Wanna’.

"I saw them recently in a studio and tried to patch things up. I asked Alex if he wanted to have a bit of a jam in the studio, but he just turned his back and walked away.

"I suppose they are quite arrogant - but who can blame them. They've got a lot going for them,” Pritchard said.
