Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls will both perform at this years MTV Movie Awards, the broadcaster has confirmed.
The band will perform new single ‘Violet Hill’ for the first time live at the ceremony on June 28th.
Pussycat Dolls will also perform at the event which takes place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
Last year the awards ceremony, which acknowledges actors' contribution to film, featured live performances from Amy Winehouse and Rihanna.
As previously reported, Coldplay will release their new album ‘Viva La Vida’ on June 12th.
The release coincides with the beginning of the band’s US tour.
