Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has reportedly been released from prison – just 10 hours into an eight day sentence.
Weiland began his sentence, given to him last month after he pleaded no contest to drink driving charge, at 9am on Monday (May 12th) morning.
However, according to TMZ, the singer was later released at 6.54pm.
The charge against Weiland related to an incident on a Los Angeles freeway last November.
It is the second time that the singer has received a conviction for DUI in nearly four years.
In addition to his sentence, Weiland received a fine and was told to enter an 18-month alcohol program.
As previously reported, Stone Temple Pilots will embark on a massive 65-date reunion tour in America later this month following Weiland’s split with Velvet Revolver.
