Agynees Deyn has revealed that her new band Gene Jacket sound somewhere between The Moldy Peaches and Animal Collective.
As previously reported on Gigwise the model has been working with Five O’Clock Heroes and will release the single ‘Who’ on June 23.
Gene Jacket features Tiny Masters of Today drummer Jackson Pollis and Alanna Masterson.
Deyn told the NME: “We’ve got three or four songs. We wrote a really cool song at Coachella actually, which was exciting. It’s called ‘Hotel’.
“We wrote another one called ‘Yellow Tights’. It sounds like The Vaselines, The Moldy Peaches, maybe a bit like Animal Collective.
“Just sounds, experimenting with stuff. I’ve always loved music. I started playing guitar a few years ago and I’m not Jimi Hendrix or anything, but it’s relaxing to play some music.”
