Pete Doherty has apparently vowed to give up drugs after almost killing one of his beloved kittens.
The Babyshambles man has admitted almost murdering the cat during one of his drug taking sessions.
He says: "I got a shovel and was going to kill one of the cats. That was when I was, like, you know, 'I'm a bit of a mess'. It was a bit of a crazy time."
Doherty was released from Wormwood Scrubs last week after serving 29 days of a fourteen week sentence.
He has since announced a string of comeback gigs and will play tonight (May 13) at the Kentish Town Forum in London with Babyshambles.
