Thom Yorke’s younger brother Andy is launching a fresh attempt to crack the music industry when he releases his debut solo album this July.
His previous incarnation was as frontman of the Unbelievable Truth who released just two albums, ‘Almost Here’ in 1998 and 'Sorrythankyou' in 2000.
Sadly for the trio, they couldn’t quite shake off those inescapable Radiohead comparisons and parted their ways shortly after the release of 'Sorrythankyou'.
Eight years on, Yorke is now set to release ‘Simple’ through Aktiv Records on July 14. The album features 11 original songs written by Yorke, including ‘Rise and Fall’ which is already available through iTunes.
Interestingly, there's not one mention of Thom or Radiohead on the press release Gigwise received. We wonder why...
Just last month, Yorke supported Frank Turner on his UK tour.
The full track-listing for the album is as follows:
1. Simple
2. Found The Road
3. Twist Of The Knife
4. Rise and Fall
5. Diamant
6. One in a Million
7. Always By Your Side
8. Let It Be True
9. Mathilda
10. Lay Down
11. Surrender
12. Ode to a Friend
