Leona Lewis’s debut single ‘Bleeding Love’ has claimed its fifth non-consecutive week at the top of the US Billboard Hot-100.
The song, which also topped the UK single chart when it was released last year, has sold over 1.5million copies in America.
Sales of the song have continued to benefit from the former X-Factor winner’s appearance on American Idol two weeks ago.
Despite a limited number of live performances, Lewis has continued to dominate the American charts thanks to well chosen television appearances.
The singer’s debut album, ‘Spirit’, went straight to number one when it was released last month.
The feet meant Lewis became the first British solo artist to debut at number one on America’s Billboard 200.
The rest of the Hot-100 top-3 remained unchanged this week, with Lil Wayne's ‘Lollipop’ taking the number 2 spot for a second week and Jordin Sparks' ‘No Air’ holding onto number 3.
