US rapper Common is to play a freedom figher named Barnes in the fourth instalment of Terminator, it’s been revealed.
The rapper’s role in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, will see him battle to save the human race from a machine that seeks to destroy it.
The film, scheduled for release in May 2009, features Christian Bale, who will play the main character, John Connor.
Common will release his new album ‘Invincible Summer’ in July.
Speaking to Billboard about the release, the rapper said it was “music for the summer time, it’s about feeling good.”
The release of the rapper’s album will coincide with his appearance in the thriller Wanted, which stars Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie and Atonement actor James McAvoy.
