Sean Stewart, the son of veteran rocker Rod Stewart, has had felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, against him dropped.
Stewart, who had denied the allegations, was accused of punching and throwing bricks at a couple following a party in Hollywood last year.
Speaking on Friday (May 2nd), Dana Cole, Stewart’s attorney, reiterated her client’s previous claim that he had been a victim of mistaken identity.
"We always felt that over time, the truth would always emerge and the victims over time became less sure of the facts," she said.
Stewart became caught up in the incident last year when his Rolls Royce was unable to pass a large pickup truck in a narrow road.
Cole said that others outside the car began to throw objects when the truck driver became aggressive.
She said her client only left the car when the windscreen was shattered, reports the Associated Press.
