Chad Kroeger, the lead singer of Nickelback, has been banned from driving for a year following a conviction for drink driving.
Kroeger was found to be twice the legal limit when he was stopped for speeding in his red Lamborghini in British Columbia in June 2006.
The singer, who appeared in court yesterday (May 1st), was also fined $588.
Kroeger, who is expected to appeal against the decision, said that "everyone makes mistakes".
Nickelback, whose biggest hit is ‘This Is How You Remind Me’, have achieved seven Grammy nominations.
The band are also members of Canada’s Walk of Fame.
