Mark Ronson is remixing songs by Duran Duran for a special one off concert in France this summer, it’s been revealed.
The producer said he was excited by the task because Duran Duran “were the only band I ever idolised”.
The gig, which will take place at La Cigale in Paris on July 2nd, will also feature a special performance from the producer's own band.
Speaking about the concert, Duran Duran’s singer Simon Le Bon called Ronson "one of the biggest talents to have emerged in recent years".
"He's taking popular music in a new, exciting and fresh direction," he said.
"He also looks great in a well cut suit, and has the blood and voice of an Englishman."
In a statement, Ronson revealed that his obsession with the band had even led him to " take a picture of [bassist] John Taylor with me to the barber shop" when he was younger.
The concert is invite only but will be filmed for a later broadcast.
