Amy Winehouse has been arrested by police over an alleged assault that took place on Wednesday (April 23).
The singer is being held at a police station in central London after being questioned about the attack on a 38 year old man.
The incident reportedly took place on Chalk Farm Road in North London.
Surrounded by photographers, Winehouse entered the station in Holbourn this evening around 5pm..
A spokesman for the police said: "A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault after attending a central London police station by appointment, She is currently in custody."
