Metropolitan Police are understood to be investigating claims that Amy Winehouse attacked a man during a night out in North London.
The 38-year-old individual alleges that the singer assaulted him on Chalk Farm Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for the police told Sky News that enquires were still ongoing.
If convicted of assault, Winehouse, who was recently nominated for three Ivor Novello Awards, could face up to six months in prison.
Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder Civil, is currently remanded in custody charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Fielder-Civil is due to stand trial later this year.
