Rich List Claims Sir Paul McCartney Is Worth 500million Pounds

Sir Paul McCartney is worth £100million more than his divorce hearing suggested, according to the new Sunday Times Rich List.

In his divorce battle with his estranged wife Heather Mills last month, a high court judge ruled that McCartney was worth £400million.

However, the new Rich List, which is published in full this weekend, says that the former Beatles back-catalogue and image rights had been undervalued.

The new estimation, believed to be around £500million, could be seized on by Ms Mills, who was only awarded a £24.3million divorce settlement.

McCartney is the highest ranking musician in the new list, while Madonna is the richest female pop star, worth an estimated £300million.
