Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has revealed that the band will spend this summer working on tracks for their third album.
Speaking to the BBC 6 Music, Turner said that the group had already recorded six songs in January that they had “been playing on tour”.
"We’re going to take it easy and start practicing over the summer and doing new stuff,” Turner said.
“We did a little thing in January and it was almost tempting to go again ‘cos it was dead exciting but we thought, 'No, take it easier, chill out a bit and consider'.”
It’s not yet clear when the follow-up to the band’s number one second album ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’ will be released.
