SonyBMG, home to such artists as The Gossip, are the second major music label to join Nokia’s new Comes With Music Service.
The service, which launches later this year, has already won the support of the Universal Music Group.
Comes With Music will allow consumers who buy Nokia devices access to the song libraries of both Universal and SonyBMG artists for a year.
At the end of the year, they then have the option to keep their downloads or transfer them to a new compatible device or computer.
Speaking at the announcement of the deal in London, Nokia executive vice president Tero Ojanperä, said he hoped Comes With Music would help the music industry to grow.
Ojanpera wouldn’t be drawn on current speculation linking other record labels to the service.
