Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner looks set to top the charts this weekend with his side project The Last Shadow Puppets.
Turner's project, which also features The Racals’ Miles Kane, was outselling nearest competitor The Kooks by two-to-one on the first day of sales yesterday (April 21st).
The Kooks are currently on top of the UK album charts with their second album ‘Konk’.
If 'The Age Of The Understatement' enters at the top spot it will be Turner's third number one album.
Early sales figures in the singles charts suggest that Madonna will score a second week at the top of the chart with her single ‘4 Minutes’, which features Justin Timberlake.
Elsewhere, Wiley’s ‘Wearing My Rolex’ looks set to make a top-10 entry on Sunday.
