Maximo Park frontman Paul Smith has admitted that he is having sleepless nights over the bands new demos.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Smith said that band had given him three days worth of demos to work out lyrics for.
“As soon as I heard them I couldn’t sleep,” Smith said.
“They kept going round my head so I was waking up at 3am writing lyrics until the early hours.
“That’s what music can do – it takes over your life.”
Maximo Park’s as-yet-untitled third album is expected later this year and has been described by guitarist Duncan Lloyd as “still very melodic”.
