Madonna’s upcoming court hearing regarding the adoption of David Banda has been delayed following a request from the singer.
Lawyers for the pop star told Malawi's High Court that Madonna needed to travel to America on business.
According to Reuters, the court hearing will now be held on May 15th unless the pop star requests a further postponement.
Madonna is expected to succeed in winning full adoption rights of the two-year-old African child, who she first met at an orphanage in Malawi two years ago.
The singer is currently number one in the UK charts with her new single ‘4 Minutes’ and releases her long-awaited new studio album, ‘Hard Candy’, next Monday (April 28th).
As previously reported on Gigwise, Madonna will make her first live appearance on the year in the UK next month as headliner at Radio 1’s One Big Weekend in Kent.
