Kaiser Chiefs have been attacked by their own fans over the decision to play a series of warm up shows in isolated parts of Scotland.
The dates, which will take place in Strathpether and Oban next month, precede the band’s huge homecoming concert at Elland Road in Leeds on May 24th.
In messages on the band’s official website, many fans have asked how they are expected to travel to the gigs.
Another said: “Would've been nice if the warm up gigs would've been anywhere near Leeds.”
Despite many critics, fans located near the venues have praised the band’s decision to perform at what will be some of their most intimate gigs to date.
Tickets for the band’s show at Elland Road, which will feature support from The Enemy and Kate Nash have already sold out.
More details about the concert are available in our new look Gig Guide.

- Members of the Kaiser Chiefs online community would like it to be made known that contrary to news reports over the weekend we will not be snubbing the Kaiser Chiefs shows in Scotland. Posts on the forum have been missed quoted- this is down to lazy journalism and not bitter fans who can’t attend. Everyone welcomes the news of these shows. Some fans are disappointed that they can not make the performances. Considering all 3 dates have sold out, the story counts for nothing

- Members of the Kaiser Chiefs forum need to get a life! Ha ha

- The shows have sold out because the venues hold about 10 people.

- Why don’t you take the time to read what the fans have really said, rather than jumping to conclusions that make us seem like an ungrateful bunch of idiots? You wouldn’t want an angry mob after you now, would you? ;)

- Hello The Gospel Truth. You obviously haven’t met the lovely Mr Wilson have you? That couldn’t be further from the truth.
You really shouldn’t believe everything you read, especially if it comes from the likes of NME. Its just appalling journalism.
