US rapper Foxy Brown has been freed from jail after serving just over half of her one year sentence.
The rapper, who was greeted by family and fans outside Rikers Island jail, told reporters that she intended to go straight to church to “get on my knees.”
Brown was sentenced in September last year after it was deemed that she had violated the terms of a probation by hitting a woman with a cell phone.
The rapper had been put on probation in 2004 following an incident at a nail salon in New York.
Brown failed in a bid to be freed early from her sentence in January, claiming that she needed to go to Los Angeles for an operation on her ear.
Her prison exit on Saturday was filmed by VH1 for a new reality TV show.
