The Longcut have announced their first gig of 2008, as well as plans for an imminent new release.
The three-piece will perform at Leeds’ Trash on 3 May, which will be their first live performance since last October.
They also plan to follow up the gig with one at Trof @ The Deaf Institute in Manchester on 20 June.
The band also report they have been recording in past weeks with Nine Black Alps’ David Jones and plan to release some of the results on “some format soon” or they “might explode”.
