    Knowsley Hall Music Festival Cancelled

This year’s Knowsley Hall Music festival on Merseyside has been cancelled due to a lack of a big enough headliner.

Cream had planned to turn the event into an annual festival but were scuppered by what they say is a lack of big names taking part on 2008’s festival circuit.

According to the Daily Post organisers believed they could not justify the ticket price without a big name.

Last year’s event saw headline sets from The Who and Keane while The Wombats and The Thrills also played.

The festival was held at the stately home of the Earl Of Derby who is said to be disappointed by the news.
