Bill Cosby, star of the sitcom The Cosby Show, is to release his first hip-hop album next month, it’s been revealed.
‘Cosby Narratives Vol 1: State Of Emergency’ will see Cosby’s stories set to hip-hop and pop backdrops.
Speaking about the album, Cosby revealed that he doesn’t actually rap on the record; instead the album features a host of guest stars.
"I wouldn't know how to fix my mouth to say some of the words,” Cosby joked.
He said that the album is nothing like modern gangsta rap and is "the opposite of what I think is the profanity for no particular reason, the misogyny for no particular reason."
The Cosby Narratives instead deals with issues such as education, self-respect, self-esteem and confidence.
The tracklist for the record, which features SupaNova Slom, Jace the Great and Brother Hahz, has been put together alongside Bill Patterson.
