Little Man Tate have confirmed details of their comeback single and album.
The Sheffield outfit will release the single ‘What Your Boyfriend Said’ on June 2 through Yellow Van / Skint, having departed from their previous label home of V2.
Their as-yet-untitled second album – the follow-up to 2007’s ‘About What You Know’ – will follow in August. More details to be announced soon.
The band’s press people describe the album as “the album the band always knew they could and would make, and without restraint” and “bold, brassy and buoyant.”
The record was recorded over a six month period at Sheffield’s Fly2 Studios. The only time they had away from the studio was to perform their 3,500 sell-out gig at Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom and the Sheffield floods benefit show.
