You like metric? In my book, any band that damn well rips off those beautifully scraping guitars and brash female vocals are doing something good. Royal Treatment Plant are such a band; imploring your attention by giving a cheeky wink to those great female artists fronting bands otherwise filled with less fair men folk. Their guitar rifts are fast, surging with anger and adrenalin. Lead lady, Princess P, gives Karen O a good run for her money in the coolness stakes. 'Get Played' is ferocious, with a stomping bass line, sexy angry vocals and is utterly brilliant. The intro sounds like early Blondie (self titled album) being grated through a wizzy synth (if you know what one of these is - do tell). This is quite frankly the stuff my angry, sexy, vivid dreams are made of.
