The Rolling Stones were held from the number one spot one this week’s album chart by the all conquering Duffy.
‘Shine A Light’ – the soundtrack to their film of the same name – debuted at two while Duffy’s ‘Rockferry’ climbed a place to retain its spot at the summit. The Courteeners notched up the impressive debut chart position of four with ‘St Jude.’
James’ ‘Hey Ma’, featuring the highly controversial album cover of a baby about to pick up a gun, was the only other new entry at ten. You can see it on our Controversial Album Covers gallery by CLICKING HERE.
It’s as you were on the singles chart this week, with Estelle’s collaboration with Kanye West, ‘American Boy’, staying at the top for its fourth week.
Sam Sparro’s ‘Black & Gold’ climbed to two and Madonna’s ‘Four Minutes’, featuring Justin Timberlake, slipped to four.
A bit further down, Black Kids impressively entered at number 11 with ‘I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You.’
