Sir Elton John helped raise a massive £2.5million for Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign at a fundraising gig in New York last night.
The 61-year-old music legend performed hits like ‘Candle In The Wind’, ‘Your Song’ and ‘Benny and the Jets’ at the 5,000 capacity show at the Radio City Music Hall.
Tickets for the event were sold at a discretionary amount to those attending, with a maximum price being £2,300.
Between songs, Sir Elt told the crowd: "There is no-one more qualified to lead America. I'm amazed by the misogynistic attitudes of some of the people in this country, and I say to hell with them. I love you Hillary, I'll be there for you."
In response, Hillary, who was joined onstage by husband Bill and daughter Chelsea, said “I’m still standing” in reference to Elton’s hit song.
