Roger Daltrey: 'Weather And Line Up To Blame For Glastonbury Sales Plunge'

The Who’s Roger Daltrey has blamed the line-up and recent bad weather for the drop in the number of people trying to buy tickets for this years Glastonbury Festival.

Speaking about the bad weather at last year’s event, Daltrey said he “wouldn't have paid money to go and live like that for three days, to suffer like that”.

The Who headlined last year’s festival alongside the Arctic Monkeys and The Killers.

The ticket registration system for this years Glastonbury Festival will open again today (April 8th) at 4pm after tickets failed to sell out on Sunday.

Daltrey also told the NME that he felt the festival's high prices were behind the drop in demand for tickets.

“It's such an expensive festival too – So expensive," he said.

This year’s Glastonbury, which takes place from June 27th-29th, will be headlined by The Verve, Jay-Z and Kings Of Leon.

    • £160? Bargain! :/ Glasto is getting a kicking this year. About time too, they’ve got so complacent in recent years and it seems out of touch with what their customers want.

    • Why the fad for kicking Glasto? It looks no better/worse and is likely to be no wetter/drier than in previous years. Glastonbury found its tipping point perhaps?
