Maximo Park will headline a charity event at the Forum in London on May 28th.
The concert, which will also feature performances from Mystery Jets, Blood Red Shoes and Pete And The Pirates, is in aid of The Royal Marsden Hospital and No Surrender Charitable Trust.
Maximo Park have organised the show after a close friend was recently diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer at the age of 33.
Jason Boas has been given just 6-12 months to live by doctors.
“When someone you know is up against cancer it makes sense to give them your full support,” frontman Paul Smith said.
“We've never been a preachy band or asked people to shell out daft amounts for tickets, but this show will be well worth the entry fee for a number of reasons.”
The Royal Marsden Hospital, which was the world’s first dedicated cancer treatment and research hospital, was damaged by fire at the beginning of the year.
Money from the gig will also go to the No Surrender Trust which funds care and support for young adults and their families who have suffered from a life threatening disease such as Cancer.
Tickets for the concert go on sale on April 9th at 9am and will be available through Gigwise.
