Feist was the big winner at Canada’s annual music awards yesterday (April 6th) - taking home five Junos.
Feist’s ‘1234’ was awarded single of the year, while her album ‘The Reminder’ was named best album and pop album of the last 12 months.
The singer capped off the night with the songwriter and artist of the year prizes.
The awards ceremony took place in the singer’s hometown of Calgary, Alberta - less than two blocks from where she began her music career.
Following critical acclaim for her album, Feist achieved worldwide recognition in 2007 when ‘1234’ appeared in an advert for Apple’s iPod Nano.
Speaking to Reuters, she said the awards ceremony was “a nice recognition for everyone who's out there, sweating blood and tears.”
