Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley has admitted that the band are angry that their long-awaited third album has been leaked online.
The record, entitled ‘Third’, is released on April 28th, however, it is already available on a number of file-sharing websites.
"We're definitely pissed about it. But I suppose there's nothing you can do about it,” Utley told MTV.
“You can only hope that it's not going to **** everything up for you, because I think, in this world, there are downloaders and people who buy. I don't know if you can convince downloaders to buy.”
The guitarist said that the sales of their new album would have a big impact on whether they are able to release new material in the future.
"If we don't sell records, we can't make any more records," Utley explained. “We're just not rich people."
