The Maccabees and Late of the Pier are the latest acts to be confirmed for the inaugural Redfest this summer.
Taking place from July 4-5 at Robins Cook Farm in Surrey, the intimate event has a 5,000 capacity and prides itself as being different from major corporate events by having no sponsors, media partners or VIP tent.
Promoter Matt Nichols explains the ethos behind the festival: “In today’s crowded festival market, there aren’t that many independently run festivals who are putting on events without jumping into bed with the big corporations. How many festivals these days feel soulless?
“With Redfest, I want to reduce the emphasis on gimmicks and corporate sponsorship and take things back to basics so today’s youth can have the same experience that previous generations of festival goers had: an event put on purely with music in mind.”
Already confirmed on the bill are the likes of Lightspeed Champion, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Operator Please, Ebony Bones, SixNationState and many more.
Tickets are on sale now and cost £64 plus all the usual booking fee.
